SA2CC Consortium Publishes Comprehensive Climate Change Report

The consortium has released a report titled “The Research Report on Climate Change in Forestry, Small-scale Livestock Production & Agriculture,” developed under Deliverable 2.3. This publication provides findings from desk research conducted across all member countries, alongside detailed field research results from Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan.

This report delves into the multifaceted impacts of climate change on forestry, livestock production, and agriculture. It aims to offer insights and data that can shape future strategies and policies in these critical sectors. The inclusion of Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan in the field research highlights the report’s focus on diverse geographical and climatic conditions, providing a broader understanding of climate change effects.

The publication is a key milestone within Work Package 2 (WP2) of the project, focusing on preparation and groundwork. The primary goal of WP2 is to create a robust foundation for developing and implementing modernized courses that align the needs of Mongolian and Kyrgyz Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with the demands of the business world and real economy.

The findings of this report are expected to significantly influence the educational frameworks in Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan, ensuring that students are well-prepared to meet the challenges posed by climate change. By linking educational needs with real-world business and economic requirements, the project aims to foster a new generation of professionals adept at navigating and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
