Lifelong Learning Week 2023
In a dynamic gathering at the heart of the European Parliament, the Skills Community of Practice (Skills CoP) illuminated the corridors with insights into “Good Practices in Applied Higher Education for all” during a workshop at the 13th edition of the Lifelong Learning Week (LLLweek) on December 1, 2023.
Hosted in the prestigious European Parliament hall ASP 3H1 in Brussels, the workshop aimed to spotlight initiatives and projects that significantly contribute to skills development across Europe. The primary focus was on integrating transversal competences into various learning environments, encompassing formal, non-formal, and informal settings. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in reflective discussions on these initiatives, exploring inclusive practices that have the potential to shape the future of skills development.
The LLLweek 2023, organized by the Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP), featured a diverse array of workshops, discussions, and forums centered around the theme of continuous learning. The overarching theme of the 13th edition, “Key Competences for All: a Lifelong Learning Approach to Skills,” attracted over 1200 registered participants, including our researcher Paula Escudeiro.
The Skills CoP workshop provided attendees with a unique opportunity to delve into the intricacies of applied higher education for all. The event emphasized the importance of embedding transversal competences in educational settings to foster holistic skill development.
