BioMaps: Best Practice label

BioMaps, an Erasmus project that ended in June 20223, was awarded a Best Practice label by its evaluators. This project exploits digital cartography to raise awareness to the European culture such as literature, addressing it in an innovative way, through the elaboration of biographies of geographical bases.

The project complements the design of the BioMaps – including the BioMaps of the Portuguese authors – with the mobility of students to secondary schools that prepared a literary route through their countries. This project dealt with the collaboration between different educational levels, from school to higher education, improving teachers’ training in digital aspects and spatial representation.

The project involved six partners, including the Polytechnic of Porto, from four countries: Belgium, Hungary, Portugal, Spain.
