GILT - Games, Interaction and Learning Technologies
The GILT research group is located in the Engineering College (ISEP) of the Porto’s Polytechnic Institute (IPP) and focuses on the analysis, design and development of scientific and technical knowledge in the fields of Serious Games, Assistive Technology, Learning Technology, Interaction and Health Technology.
GILT researchers promote the group’s R&D mission linking it to post-graduate programmes at MSc and PhD level and leading international collaborative projects and joint initiatives with other academic and commercial institutions.
We are based in ISEP, Porto - Portugal

The activities of this research group are divided into the following areas:
(Lead by João Miguel Leitão): This line aims to promote research and development of image synthesis and real time interaction
(Lead by Jorge Mamede): This line is concerned with Research and Development on Communication Systems and Multimedia
(Lead by António Castro e Ricardo Almeida): This line develops research on the use of multimedia in medicine and health in general
(Lead by Paula Escudeiro): This line aims to further research and development around the integration of technology in teaching / learning
